What is plankton seasoning?

The planktn seasoning is made from locally and sustainably grown seaweed from the Oosterschelde.

Seaweed is rich in minerals, vitamins and fibres. Wakame contains a lot of calcium and Royal Kombu is a good source of iodine. It also gives your dishes an extra 'umami' flavour.

How do I incorporate seasoning into my dishes?

You can use the plankton wakame and royal kombu in salads, over rice or noodles, on an avocado sandwich, or even on a boiled or fried egg for extra flavor.

Is it free from allergens?

May contain traces of fish, molluscs and crustaceans, as the Wakame and Royal Kombu are grown in the Oosterschelde (Zeeland).

Always adhere to the recommended dosage and in case of any (allergic) reactions, consult your doctor immediately and discontinue use.

Is it suitable for children and/or during pregnancy/breastfeeding?

Yes, it is safe for children from 2 years old and during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, stick to the recommended dosage.

Is it suitable for people with thyroid disease?

Royal Kombu is rich in iodine. If you need to limit your iodine intake, it is wise to be careful with Royal Kombu and possibly opt for Wakame, which contains less iodine.
